4-0 Thumping, Adebayor Hat-trick...

The international break is over and what a way to return to the Premiership. A 4-0 win over Blackburn will give us a boost heading into our first CL game on Wednesday. 3 goals for Adebayor (although he did not have the greatest game ever) will hopefully open the floodgates for him.

Here are the highlights for the game: (thanks to Remad and ScreaManUnited)

Walcott had a great run and pass for the opening goal, he looked very confident today, most probably because of that brilliant hat trick midweek. Then came a fantastic cross from Denilson to a wide open Adebayor for the header to give us a comfortable 2-0 lead going into the break. Eboue won a penalty in the second half (possible dive...most likely) and Adebayor slotted it home. An injury time goal from Adebayor gave us a 4-0 win and 50 goals for Arsenal from Adebayor.

Ramsey and Wilshire had sub appearances but not enough time to really impress. Eboue suffered an injury but I have a feeling he is just milking it.

Next up is Dynamo Kiev away, let's hope there are no injuries before then...

International Break

Now that there is no Arsenal football to look forward to until the 13th, I have decided to take a break as well. I'll be checking out the WC Qualifiers and preparing for school. So unless any HUGE news occurs during that time you won't see a new post until that game. Let's hope our players return injury-free from these games, and we get right back on track against Blackburn.

Go Gunners!

Fantastic Display Against Newcastle...

Today's match has just finished, and I must say it was a terrific display. We looked a totally different side from the one last week. A brace from RVP should give him some much needed confidence as well as a goal from Denilson. Eboue had a great game on the right, with the highlight being his back heel pass to van persie for the second goal. Fabregas was great in the middle as usual. Carlos Vela subbed on for his debut and looked bright, getting into a lot of attacking positions. I can't say any of the boys had a bad game, although Denilson had a fair amount of misplaced passes.

Here are the goals from the match: (thanks to ReMad, and Mr. Mercury)

I just want to take a minute to talk about what a fantastic buy Samir Nasri was. He has slotted into the team straight away and has showed great pace, skill, desire, and goal scoring ability. He also showed he is another free kick option with a great curling effort that was saved by Given.

O yeah I just want to say, Fuck Joey Barton! We don't need players like him in this league...

The draw for the 3rd round of the Carling Cup has us facing Sheffield United again...we will be at home so a comfortable win with the youngsters should be the case.

2 days left for Wenger to make some signings...I'm still hoping for two more signings on the last day, with the quality we showed today two more signings could make us true title contenders.

Champs League Group + Newszz

Hello all, I guess I should have posted yesterdays news...yesterday...but I'm posting it today because I feel like it...

I guess most people now know that we are in Group G for the champions league, in addition to FC Porto, Fenerbahçe SK, and Dynamo Kyiv. It's a tough group but I would be truly surprised if we don't advance. All away matches will be tough, especially in Turkey, so all home games are critical and must wins.

If you wish to watch the draw, you can download it here: (thanks to mr. mercury)

Part 1
Part 2

Now onto today's news...

Gael Clichy has asked fans to support the whole squad after the booing and criticism Adebayor and Gallas have recieved. I agree with him, we've shown our displeasure and now its time to get on with it and back the team. I'm positive that Adebayor knows the fans are unhappy with him, but any more booing will only hinder the team play so it has to stop.

Arsene Wenger has hinted at one or two more signings before the transfer deadline on Monday. After all the talk and speculation I'm going to be incredibly dissapointed if we don't sign anyone, or some random 19 year old French guy.

Not much else to say...we have Newcastle on Saturday, then a few days of anticipation before the transfer window closes...Let's hope we get those final pieces of the puzzle.

FC Twente 2nd Leg...

So we are at home today to face FC Twente to solidify our Champions League spot. We are up 2-0 so we should win this comfortably. Cesc Fabregas is fit as well, so lets hope he gets about 60 minutes to regain some match fitness. Check back after the match today and I will update this post with the highlights and my opinions of the match...

UPDATE

So here are the goals for today's match...

1-0 Nasri
2-0 Gallas
3-0 Walcott
4-0 Bendtner

It had to be a perfect match after the Fulham result...three youngsters got a goal which should boost their confidence. Gallas got a goal as well and he needs it with all the issues surrounding him. Fabregas got a good run out for about 60 minutes, and we kept a clean sheet. What else can you ask for... Looking forward to Newcastle this weekend, and still waiting for that signing Arsene!

Slow News Day...

The boss says that the Fulham result won't change his transfer plans. According to him we just had an off day and should think about why...I'll tell you why Arsene, it's because we have no depth in midfield! We fielded Eboue and Denilson in the center against West Brom and barely won the match. We started them again for Fulham and lost...We DO need to buy players, but I've talked about that enough so let's just wait for it to happen!

Reports out of Italy are saying we have loaned out Philippe Senderos to AC Milan for 1 year. Could be good for him to get some experience in a different environment. I think the Italian game suits his style of play better as well, so good luck to him and hopefully he can improve as a player.

Cesc Fabregas says he would love to play with Xabi Alonso. He also said earlier this summer he would love to play with David Villa, so who knows what kind of influence he has. I'm tired of analyzing who we should sign though.

Le Mans striker Gervinho says it's his dream to one day play for Arsenal. Well he's got a good head on his shoulders then, but we are set with our strikers for now.

So it's been a boring day for news. I guess we're all waiting for that new signing...September 1st is coming up fast so Wenger needs to step it up and bolster the squad. We should handle the return leg against Twente easily but we shouldn't have to go into the Newcastle match with the team we have now. Sign someone up!

Wake Up Call!!

Very frustrating result today...a 1-0 loss to Fulham...The season is over now!!!

Just kidding, bad result to start out the year, but better to suffer it now than mid season. There's not much to say about the performance because everyone was shit. Some people were less shit than others, but still shit. This should be a wake up call for Wenger that we need at least 2 more players. I don't expect any more than 1, but in my opinion we need 2...and we need it soon! Anyways, here is the only goal from Fulham...(thanks to ScreaManUnited88)

1-0 Hangeland

If you choose to watch the goal you will notice the shit marking by our fantastic captain Gallas...I'm so happy he is leading our squad!

Credit to Fulham though for fighting for the result. They were all over the pitch and looked much faster than us. Denilson was terrible, and he should never start for a side who wants to be champions. Hopefully this was the last match that Fabregas will miss with his current injury since we need him back soon (not so much for Twente though).

Nothing else really in the news, and I'm not really in the mood to write anymore now...so I'm just going to say it one more time...WENGER PLEASE OPEN UP THE CHEQUE BOOK!
